Practice Manager & Director of Operations

Lucy has over a decade of management and operational expertise, specialising in optimising organisational processes, enhancing efficiency, delivering outstanding patient care, and ensuring rigorous CQC compliance within the private health sector. She has a proven track record in team management and development, fostering environments where staff are empowered to excel and grow.

She has demonstrated leadership through key positions held at 152 Harley Street, Pure Sports Medicine, and Parkvets Veterinary Hospital.

Outside of her profession life, she is a keen runner and devoted cat lover. She also enjoys traveling with her husband, balancing her professional dedication with personal interests and well-being.

Meet Sue

Business Manager

Sue is one of The Amara Clinic’s Patient Coordinators. She helps support each patient’s treatment journey and ensure it is as free from stress as possible. Sue was instrumental in implementing The Amara Clinic’s new software system, which is more patient friendly and helps the clinic run more efficiently. Sue is passionate about improving patient service and has helped facilitate delivery of HRT medication to our patients.

Sue has worked in women’s health for 22 years. She is a multi-talented all-rounder she is a qualified accountant, a Reiki Master, Kinesiologist and DNALife Practitioner. She was the founder and owner of Knowle Grange Health Spa until 2020.

Sue says, ‘Women need to have support with gynae, and menopausal issues and I am so delighted to be able to support the incredible expertise of the clinicians.’

Meet Jean

PR Consultant

Jean Beard, founder of the aesthetic PR agency JBPR and former Business & PR Manager at The Cosmetic Skin Clinic, serves as a strategic PR consultant for Amara Clinic. With 16 years of expertise in the aesthetics industry, Jean brings her knowledge of innovative non-surgical treatments, influencer collaborations, and high-impact brand launches to the Amara team.

As a seasoned professional, Jean has worked closely with beauty editors, journalists, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to elevate brands and introduce cutting-edge treatments to the market. Through her extensive network of UK-based influencers and media contacts, she ensures broad exposure and impactful results for her clients.

Jean’s consultancy draws on her longstanding relationships with top aesthetic companies, which have contributed to the success of numerous product launches and press events. At Amara Clinic, her insights and tailored PR strategies help position brands at the forefront of an increasingly competitive market.

Meet Jo

Front of House

Jo Alford brings a wealth of experience in administration, secretarial work, and human resources to her role. Her career spans diverse fields, including public services, general practice offices, and private medical sectors such as Alliances Medical MRI and Mental Health Services.

Jo’s dedication to serving her community is reflected in her time with the Surrey Police Force, where she played a vital role behind the scenes supporting officers, and in her most recent years as an Administrative Assistant in the Army.

Having spent most of her life in Surrey, Jo recently moved to West Sussex after reconnecting with an old flame through working within the police force. While adjusting to the quieter pace of life in her new town, she brings warmth, expertise, and enthusiasm to her role as our receptionist.

Outside of work, Jo’s interests reflect her vibrant personality. A true music aficionado, her pub quiz specialty is 80s music. She also has a love for the color purple, a soft spot for cats, and a deep appreciation for wildlife.

Jo’s welcoming demeanor and diverse background make her an invaluable member of our team.

Meet Alex

Patient Coordinator

With over 9 years of experience working at NHS GP surgeries in Groom Bridge and Hartfield Medical Centre, Alex is an essential part of our team. Known for her empathetic and caring nature, she takes great pride in ensuring that every patient feels welcomed and supported from the moment they walk through the door or call with a query. As the first point of contact for patients, Alex is always ready with a warm smile and a helpful attitude, making sure everyone’s needs are met with the highest level of care.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys staying active with spin classes, going on long walks, and spending quality time with her friends and family. A dedicated mother of three wonderful children, she balances her professional and personal life with grace and warmth.

Meet Erin

Patient and Marketing Coordinator 

Erin brings a wealth of experience to her role as Patient and Marketing Coordinator, drawing from her background as an Account Manager at Benefit Cosmetics and her time as a Sales Consultant at AXA Health. Her work in these roles helped her develop exceptional skills in client relationship management, sales, and customer service, all of which she leverages in her current position.

Recently graduating with First-Class Honours in Business Management and Marketing from London South Bank University, Erin’s academic accomplishments complement her practical experience. Her passion for marketing and patient care is reflected in her dedication to her work and her meticulous attention to detail.

Outside of work, Erin enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family. Known for her warm personality and strong work ethic, she is committed to ensuring the best possible experience for every patient and thrives on building meaningful connections with those she works with.

Meet Emily

Operations Coordinator

After moving to the UK four and a half years ago, Emily took on new roles, including working as a nanny and joining the intensive care team in London during the COVID-19 pandemic. This challenging experience reinforced her dedication to healthcare. Later, she relocated to Tunbridge Wells, where she supported patients through sensitive surgical journeys at an aesthetic clinic.
Now, as a mum to a two-year-old son and a military wife, Emily has established her own business as a freelance virtual assistant, specializing in lead generation and supporting patients through clinical pathways. Her expertise in patient care and operations has culminated in her current role as Operations Director at The Amara Clinic. Outside of her professional life, Emily enjoys Pilates and has a long-standing passion for dance, having danced from the age of three and taught it in Australia before relocating to the UK.
Balancing her career, motherhood, and military family life, Emily brings dedication and compassion to everything she does and is a valuable member of our team.

Meet Jess

Social Media Marketing Intern

Jess is our enthusiastic social media intern, recently graduating with 1st class honours in Advertising and Marketing from Cardiff Metropolitan University. During her studies, Jess worked on a variety of marketing projects, gaining hands-on experience across several key areas. She’s developed a passion for content creation, recognizing its power to engage and captivate audiences. Now, she’s thrilled to bring her creativity to the world of social media marketing, adding her unique flair to crafting fun and engaging content for the Clinic.

Outside of work, Jess is an avid Disney and musical theatre enthusiast with a deep love for dance. Having earned a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dance, she channels this passion into everything she does. She’s also a big foodie, always on the lookout for new places to eat and explore. Whether it’s through her love of storytelling, performance, or food, Jess brings energy and creativity to every project she takes on.

Credit Control

Harriet is a certified chartered accountant with over 13 years of experience in financial management, credit control, and bookkeeping. She has worked with many businesses, from start-ups and family-run companies to larger organisations, honing her expertise in maintaining smooth financial processes. At the Amara Clinic, Harriet is always happy to assist with any queries, ensuring clear communication and offering support wherever she can to help clients easily navigate their financial concerns.
Outside work, Harriet loves spending time in nature, hiking with her rescue dog Buzz, and travelling across the UK and Europe in her self-converted campervan.
